In seeking opposing ideas within my work I aim to demonstrate my view of the world of fashion. I myself can be completely influenced by it and thus use it religiously to seek inspiration for my work.
However, I am fully aware of the negative connotations associated with it which lead me to my positive/negative response.
The overall aesthetic of my work derives from fashion through my use of colour, pattern and movement; elements which I find to be hypnotic and seductive. I aim to hypnotize the viewer aesthetically, yet, as they are enticed closer, they begin to question what is really going on.
